AO for high-power laser

Our 50 mm thermally stabilized PDM has been specially designed to be used with high-power lasers. The deformable mirror features 37 actuators, placed in hexagonal grid with 7 mm pitch and has a custom high-reflectivity coating. The mirror shown on photo has been tested with 2kW laser (1064nm, Nd:YAG, CW) for 5 minutes. Driven by our high-voltage amplifier units, the mirror can be used, for instance, for the power-in-bucket optimisation for horizontal propagation through medium and low turbulence.

Beam shaping

For accurate and/or dynamic beam shaping, deformable mirrors offer a perfect solution. Whether you need to convert a gaussian beam to a flat-top circular beam, or to correct dynamically the beam shape, deformable mirrors can be used for a lossless beam conditioning. Most of our standard deformable mirrors can be used directly for this purpose, or we can calculate the optimal mirror actuator geometry for your particular proble and fabricate a mirror that will perfectly suit for your application.
